KRUZA
The gyroplane we are selling is a modern, safe, truly cross country machine which competes with many fixed wing ultralight aircraft available today, but with the advantages of a gyroplane. The Kruza is designed for Australian conditions and is manufactured in Echuca on the Victorian/New South Wales border. The aircraft can be inspected both finished and under construction and introductory flights can be arranged by prior appointment.
The aircraft had a 75mm x 50mm x 3.2mm aircraft grade aluminium box section chassis bolted and riveted, the twin tail booms are 4130 chrome moly grade steel. The cabin, engine, under carriage and tail assembly are fixed to this chassis. The spacious, composite cabin is designed with built in seats, which give the comfort required for cross country flying. The large windscreen and door windows give maximum visibility and the gyro can be flown with doors either fitted or removed. A .4mm steel fire wall is fitted between the cabin and the fuel tank/engine compartment.
The engine being used is the well proven Suzuki G16B Turbo 4 Cylinder, coupled to an Autoflight 2.47
to 1 ratio propeller speed reduction unit with motor electric starter. The propeller is a 72” diameter, three blade composite wide chord as produced by Petroney, as are the rotors 29ft composite, although aluminium blades can be fitted if desired. We have fitted the custom manufactured aluminium radiator above the engine with air scoop above the cabin to eliminate damage by stones and blockage by grass. The exhaust is kept high above long grass level.
The main undercarriage is fibre glass composite giving excellent suspension travel for unmade strips, all wheels are 320mm diameter tyres on 150mm diameter rims and spats fitted. Hydraulic toe operated disc brakes are fitted on the main wheels giving excellent ground control with the castering spring oleo nose wheel.
The gyro is very stable in the air and can be trimmed to fly virtually “hands off” due principally to the body shape and the large tail fins. It cruises comfortably between 50 – 80 knots with a Vne of 90 knots. Fully loaded at 600kg it has a climb rate of 750ft per minute.
We will customise the gyro to individual requirements and offer flight training and maintenance as required with our machines.
