ABOUT US - GT Gyroplanes
GT Gyroplanes Pty Ltd, was formed in 2007 by brothers Geoff and Alistair Morrison. Geoff had spent 20 years of his life maintaining and re-building small fixed wing aircraft and helicopters in Central Otago, New Zealand. Alistair is a Civil Engineer who has had a passion for flying since his first flight in a Tiger Moth at the age of eight. Both have fixed wing and gyro licences and have owned several different aircraft. When they could not find a gyroplane which met their needs, they started developing a gyroplane which has lead to the “Kruza”. Their aim is to produce the best cross country gyroplane in the world at an affordable price, to compete with ultralight fixed wing aircraft.
Design Goals and Objectives
The gyro they required must be safe, reliable and easy to fly and suitable for landing on un-made airstrips. It must be fully enclosed for all weather operation but with the doors easily removable for use on warm summer days. It must be side by side seating with full dual controls, so that the occupants can easily communicate and help each other with the navigation and share the flying if desired on a cross country flight. It must have about four hours endurance and a reasonable cruise speed so that the distances you need to cover in this country are possible. It must have good access and internal space with seats that are comfortable for the four hour duration. It must have the fuel tank removed from the cabin space and a steel firewall between.
The gyroplane we are selling includes all of the above and more.It is a modern, safe, truly cross country machine which competes with many fixed wing ultralight aircraft available today, but with the advantages of a gyroplane. The Kruza is designed for Australian conditions and is manufactured in Echuca on the Victorian/New South Wales border. The aircraft can be inspected both finished and under construction and introductory flights can be arranged by prior appointment.
We will customise the gyro to individual requirements and offer flight training and maintenance as required with our machines.
